West Lothian Tenants is an independent organisation that aims to promote the interests of tenants and service users living in West Lothian. Our Website is full of ideas, comments and ways of finding out whats happening regarding tenant Participation in West Lothian.

 

West Lothian Draft Local Housing Strategy 2012-2017

West Lothian Council have published a draft Local Housing Strategy that they wish to consult on. You can download a summary of the draft strategy HERE. Tenants and other service users are advised to submit their views prior to January 2012.

 

 
Scottish Social Housing Charter

Joint Networks submit their views to Government

The Scottish Government's consultation on the introduction of a new Social Housing Charter ended on Tuesday 1st November. Five Sisters and Cairn Brock had a joint meeting on Wednesday 12th October to discuss and agree their response. You can view our response by downloading a copy HERE

Tenant of the year

Alison Kerr scoops National Award

West Lothian tenant Alison Kerr was recently presented with the prestigious ‘Tenant of the Year’ Award, at the Tenant Participation Advisory Services Annual Conference and Award ceremony in Dundee.

Alison lives in Blackburn and for the last 11 years has worked tirelessly to improve the quality of life within her own community and beyond. Alison is heavily involved in tenant participation throughout West Lothian. She works tirelessly on behalf of tenants so as to ensure that the services they receive meet or exceed the levels set out in the Housing Scotland (2001) Act.
